The Material - Porcelain
The origins of porcelain manufacturing can be traced back to ancient China, while in Europe, the production of 'white gold' first commenced in 1708. Porcelain is an elegant and delicate material that requires meticulous care, from shaping the blank forms to completing the individual pieces. Each item is hand-shaped, glazed, and fired. Subsequently, the top and bottom of the handles are combined with chrome-plated brass fittings.
Without chrome, the world would forfeit much of its luster. In the finish used for our wet shaving accessories, porcelain demonstrates its best qualities: it is corrosion-resistant, incredibly durable, and has a luxurious, alluring sheen. When paired with other premium materials, the colors and shapes of porcelain are showcased to their full advantage.
The Razorhead - Classic Blade
For generations, the safety razor has been regarded as a stylish classic capable of delivering precise shaves along the edges. For many, it is the quintessential razor. Its design is ideally suited to the aesthetic of MUHLE products.
Even if the open blade initially demands a certain degree of respect, after a brief acclimation period and with a steady hand, it provides an exceptionally close shave with lasting results. Unlike modern blade systems, the head of the safety razor remains stationary. The blades are replaced by unscrewing the cap and can be purchased from us and through various retailers.
