Shop / rockwell razors 2c adjustable double edge safety razor
In 2021, MÜHLE introduced the first safety razor designed with the needs of all users in mind, regardless of gender. This journey began in 1945, when Otto Johannes Müller founded the business upon his return from the war, creating the first shaving brushes and designing the MÜHLE signet.
The company continued to evolve over the decades. In 1965, Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the now 40-employee strong company, which was exporting its products to 36 countries. However, in 1972, under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller was forced to sell the company, which then became a state-owned enterprise. In 1987, the business was rebranded, manufacturing brushes only for the state, and Hans-Jürgen Müller became a self-employed brush maker.
The tide turned in 1990, as a new Europe emerged, and Hans-Jürgen Müller regained the family business, trading as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG, with the MÜHLE signet remaining. The company struggled to survive after reunification, but gradually won new customers and rehired former employees. By 2006, the offering had expanded to a full range of wet shaving goods, and the MÜHLE brand came to the fore.
MÜHLE's commitment to quality and innovation has been the driving force behind the brand's success. For over 75 years, MÜHLE has designed, developed, and manufactured the finest shaving products from their family-owned premises in historic Saxony, northern Germany. Today, MÜHLE razors, brushes, and accessories are used by shaving enthusiasts worldwide.
The MÜHLE ROCCA Safety Razor is a prime example of the brand's craftsmanship. This closed-comb razor, made from long-lasting and corrosion-resistant materials, provides a close yet mild wet shave. Its linear design and sleek stainless steel construction make it a premium product that delivers a distinctly comfortable shaving experience.
When using a MÜHLE safety razor, the key is to hold the razor at a 30-degree angle to the skin and use short, straight, downward strokes to remove the beard hair. Reapply shaving cream and repeat, this time shaving across the beard grain. This technique, coupled with the exfoliating properties of safety razor blades, helps to limit razor irritation and achieve the closest, smoothest shave possible.
In addition to the razor, the choice of shaving brush is crucial for a comfortable wet shave. MÜHLE offers a wide range of ergonomic handles, in both traditional and modern designs, with the option to choose between the most moisture-absorbent natural badger hair or the latest synthetic fiber brushes.
To care for your MÜHLE shaving gear, the brand offers a range of stylish chrome-plated shaving stands. These allow you to properly rinse and dry your razor and shaving brush after each use, ensuring their longevity.
MÜHLE's commitment to sustainability is also evident in their products. As a member of the Environmental Alliance of Saxony, the company collaborates with suppliers who uphold the same high standards, ensuring that their shaving solutions are eco-friendly.
